As a worried and anxious parent of a CG I have read and read on the subject .Doom and gloom all the way. Yesterday I found this book and for the first time in a long time I feel there is light at the end of the tunnel. Its given me a much clearer picture of what I can do to help and support my loved one. Great book and full of good sound advice.
5 out of 5 stars – Everyone effected by gambling needs this book! , 5 November 2017, by Cuthbertdirect – Verified Purchase
I’ve brought 4 copies of this book so far and both my husband and I (he is the gambler) think it’s a breath of fresh air! Makes total sense! We’ve given copies to families members to help them understand what we are going through. The task in it are hard to face up to but my husbands words were “this book was written for me”. It’s only early days in his recovery but this book has put us on a track that no councelling GA or other help has done in 20 years! Feeling very hopeful for the future! If you gamble and want to get your life back or are effected by someone who does gamble I cannot recommend this book strongly enough! May just have saved his life our marriage and my life! Thank you Philip Mawer!

A brilliant read and an amazing tool for kicking yourself out of the gambling abyss. Was successful in helping me quit gambling. Strongly recommend. Whilst it isn’t a secret remedy or one-step-fix, it will help you stop.
